Where we are all from

Since I put this blog up, I have been tracking where all of the visitors are orginating from using Google Analytics ... pretty neat to see where all of my followers are in the world.

Canada

US

Europe

Asia

Just as an after thought here.... the locations that I can see (as in track) are only the server addresses of your ISPs (Internet Service Providers). I cannot see where you physically are. All I receive from Google Analytics is the general location (ie: if you are in Victoria, I know you are in Victoria but I do not know what your home address is, or the address of where you accessed my blog from). Just wanted to clarify that.

Whoa that's nuts! However my visit ball is in the wrong spot. LOL I know I should have one, but there is nothing over where I live. Unless there is someone in Kimmirut that checks on you regularly.
I am going to check this Analytics thing out! Wicked!

I know.. I have a feeling that what is happening.. especially with us up North is that they are all "checking" in in Iqaluit as I have my suspicions that that is where the main qiniq server is. As I know that there should be more dots further up in the Baffin region ...

Asia.......I'm jealous.

No Northern lights? That's totally bazzar! I wonder if it has anything to do with you being higher arctic? I am going to look into it.
We get them but they are no where as intense as what they get further west.

Jen, I think it is because we are too far up North to get them and we are just not at a good enough angle relative to the sun ... and apparently the same reason goes for why I can't get satellite radio from Sirius or XM up here.. I'm just too dang North! (but I do love it up here)t

I am wondering then if you can get Satellite television? My husband and I are just unsure if we get transfered that far north if we are still going to get good tv? LoL as that is important for life up here!! :)

hehe ... well.. you can get satellite TV (Bell Express Vu) but you need to make sure that you get the BIG dish ... however, be prepared for times when it just won't work to due to weather. Adam (our old RCMP officer) gave up on his satellite here as he just found that he wasn't getting a quality signal. But we do have cable up here :-)

LOL, our satellite doesn't work here if it's raining, snowing or there is fat raven chilling on the dish. I don't know if we will ever make it to the high arctic if there is no starchoice! :)

Yes high arctic not as frequent northern lights...been blogging on xanga for 3 years and the similar situation of tracking location through ISPs not exact. In the north often through Yellowknife or Iqaluit the HSS servers are listed as internetnorth but ssmicro from the smaller communities not always listed. Arctic Bay comes up as Arviat.I just wish more comments would be left but good to know being read.
