Mmmm, looks like dinner time
I'm gonna getcha
The Daily Mail (a UK Newspaper) reports on a "Chilling game of hide and seek with a hungry polar bear".
UPDATE: for any one curious, I have found what I believe to be the originating site / post of these photos that the Daily Mail is using : Alaska HDTV: A Bad Day at Work and Alaska HDTV Podshow Flckr Stream.

What astounds me about the story, as reported in The Daily Mail, is how there's no mention of the photographer and why he/she had the composure to take the pictures, but apparently didn't do anything to help the "prey".
Also, the article says, "His back and head were covered in more than 100 deep scratches where the massive claws had managed to rip through his thick winter clothes and padded coat.
That must have been in the pictures we didn't get to see because his jacket looks fine to me. Hmmm... more than 100 deep scratches... 5 claws per paw...why, that bear must have got in more than 20 good but ineffective swipes! That's a lot of close calls! I'm amazed the bear looks that healthy considering it's poor hunting skills!
Oh I know ... I think it's a bunch of whooey written by the Daily Mail. And I did go back through my email .. and yes, I did receive these photos back in JUNE! Go Daily Mail!
No idea who really took the photos though .. but who ever did had some good composure to be taking them .. and I'm pretty sure that if the guy did sustain injuries that the photographer would go to his aid. Besides, there are two different trucks that he's running around - so there would have to be at least two people there if not more.
Ahh, the wonderful world of journalism. Perhaps I should be asking them to source their work?
That would make for an interesting news item...
