I have been debating over the last couple of months on what gaming console I would like to get for next year to help pass the -50 degree weather and the darkness of the winter .... and can I say it has not been a easy decision making process.

Each system, the Wii, PS3 and XBox 360 each have their pro's and con's.... and if I had it my way, I would just get all three ... (don't worry, I won't).

So this is a shout out to all of you Northerners who already have one of these systems ... which one is best? And most importantly, which one won't make it so I have to buy a new TV? (I got the old fashion Audio / Video RCA input jacks on my TV - think Red, White, Yellow). Although, I am tossing around the idea of buying a new flat screen while down south .....

I am leaning more towards the PS3 as it does have many of the action/adventure games that I like to play .... but with the Wii there's more of the "physical" element involved .... and the XBox ... well ... it's Microsoft (and we all know how I feel about Microsoft).

I am partial to the Wii... I am a Nintendo girl at heart, and this hits the spot for me.

I've got several games for it... but I don't know if they are of the action/adventure variety.

AND the hookup is disgustingly easy, and you use the red/yellow/white inputs.

Just my 2-cents!

OK I have both X-box and Wii. The x-box hits Nathan's need for shooting things, and more serious game play. The Wii is more party style, gets more people involved, Mario Party kicks ass!

However The Wii games tend to be the fast and easy kind, over before you know it. Plus the moving around bit gets old fast. X-box games are way too serious and involved. I just don't think it's that fantastic how real the x-box has made shooting someone, it's like your there. I'm so not down with that.

I say go for the Playstation. If I was gaming more these days, that is what I would go for. I think it's supplied with a nice mix of the two gaming styles.

I'll ask Angela and get back to you. Between her and Adam, they either own, know someone whe owns or know someone who knows someone.... you get the picture. I know Angela LOVES Wii.

Maybe a little late, but a vote here for the Wii. Plus it can play Gamecube games, and "Super Monkey Ball 2" may be the greatest party game of all time.
