Hello Everyone ..

Web 2.0, as wonderful as it is.. often throws a curve ball at you. My Northern Photography site has moved yet again, as Wordpress was not a good fit for it (couldn't manage the site as I wanted to). So, it has moved back to blogger, but at a new address (so update your bookmarks!): Arctic Photography.

The site should be up and running later on today!

Enjoy! And thanks for putting up with all of the changes!

Update: Ok, so blogger thinks that the new site is a "spam" site and has been frozen by the Blogger "spam-bots". Blogger, if you are reading this, it is NOT a SPAM SITE!

really? Interesting....blogger does NOT allow for full template editing. Wordpress does. You can edit every last line of php in wordpress...a great many things in blogger, they simply do not allow. And blogger, if you read the fine print, they retain ownership rights to anything you have ever put on display. Not complete ownership, thats still yours, but they have the right to use it anyway they want in the future.

Wordpress wanted me to PAY to be able to change the php, css and html. Unless you know the work around on that ... as any changes I made to the code wasn't saved or applied. So I gave up and went back to blogger.

And when you have limited internet (as in I have a cap), I can't be fighting all day long with a blog provider uploading and testing things out.

kennie, do you want a real hosting package? I might be able to work something out with my husband... ;) Maybe reduce the amount of space I get, and give you some of it. I can change wordpress all I want, there. He typically charges $6 a month, but I can see if I can get you a cut rate.

I pay for Typepad, (something like 90 a year) but I love the platform.

I have hosting through Apple, which works just great and I can do what ever I want on it ... but Qiniq just times out way too much for it to be able to successfully upload and then I have to start all over again - pain in the ass! I should be become a Northwestel internet supplier....
