I should be saying wow Kennie that's warm outside, but what I really want to say is wow Kennie, you keep your house really cold! lol It got warmer down here, I almost cried (of happiness) when on the way to work I didn't feel like I had emphysema when each time I took a breath in...lol
Usually I try to keep the house around 22 degrees, but our furnace has taken on a mind of its own at either keeping the house at a comfortable 23 degrees or a sweltering 32 degrees. So I had to turn it off for a while to cool down the house so I could sleep, but don't worry, it was a nice 23 degrees when I woke up this morning :-)
Oh. My. Goodness. I can't believe it's that warm. We have had an unusually cold winter here in the NWT. I actually got excited this morning when I saw it was only -37.
I know - I was excited when we hit -15 the other day! But, this nice balmy weather is not here for long, forecast has us going back down to -35 for next week.
It's warmer up there than it is here! And the groundhod definitely did not see his shadow today. Snow, rain, freezing rain, wind, blowing snow.... we had it all.
After spending six years living and teaching in the Canadian Arctic (Nunavut and Yukon), I returned to the Maritimes to work at my Alma Mater, The University of New Brunswick, as the Media Lab Supervisor with the Centre for Enhanced Teaching and Learning. At the Media Lab I help faculty and students learn how to use instructional and media technology in their classes and projects.

I plan to grab my speedos, sunscreen and a good book and head down to the beach this afternoon before things cool back down again!
LOL Darcy!
